In our daily activities, people involve themselves in a lot of planning to ensure they live a better life. Financial planning is essential since it involves management of money. Therefore, it is vital to seek advice from experts to ensure appropriate use of money. In the bible, there are various verses that depict the importance of seeking advice or counsel before engaging in anything. In an example of scripture that provides instruction on advice from a person other than a relative or God, I will use Proverbs 12:15. It states, “The ways of a fool are detrimental, but he that listens to advice is a wise man.” (Good News Bible, 2005).
I have decided to use this verse because is related to financial planning easily applicable to all circumstances in life. During the process of financial planning, it is not wise to imagine that we are superior, and know everything because we can make wrong decisions. Therefore, we should not be fooled by our own judgment when it comes to financial planning. There is a need to seek advice from other experts on the implications of financial decisions before making any investments.
